Fee Structure
The Merraine Group Inc. offers a variety of retained and contingency plans to allow the maximum flexibility when working within your guidelines. Our typical fee is equivalent to 30% of the candidate's first year's salary. This fee may be discounted depending upon a series of criteria including:
- Volume of searches within a twelve month period
- Level of position being filled
- Retained or contingency search
- Multiple placements at one time
- Payment terms
The information below provides a more detailed description of our fees:
Retained Search: Our top priority. This plan is for a priority situation, or for a sensitive case in which confidentiality is paramount. We serve as your company's directed recruiting resource. Our fee is computed at 30% of the individuals first-year compensation. You pay us one-half to initiate the search, and the remainder once the candidate begins employment. In addition, we assign a dedicated client services representative to your account until the search is completed.
Priority Search: We developed this model, by far our most popular. To be candid, we can't write about it here because all of our competitors have been trying to figure out how we do it. Let us put it this way: It's a retained search with the very best guarantee in the industry. However, there's no long-term commitment and if you're not happy (which would never happen), suffice to say you can end your commitment with no financial loss. As our Mothers used to say: "This is for people with champagne tastes and beer pocketbooks." Give us a call and we'll walk you through it, but we can't figure out why any hospital wouldn't utilize this search.
Rolling Engagement: This widely selected option provides you the ability to make a modest monthly payment using the priorities of retained search with the flexibility of a contingency arrangement. Your "Good Faith" deposit may in fact be applied to any one of your open positions rather than just one position in particular.
Contingency Search: We refer candidates who most closely match your company's requirements. If you hire someone we've presented, our fee is 30% of his or her first year's compensation. We do not charge any fee under a contingency search unless you hire one of our candidates.
Discount Retainer/Contingency: Our fee may be discounted when multiple positions are filled within a specific time period. We recruit and refer candidates while providing assistance throughout the interview and hiring process.
