Description: Position Focus: Accountable for providing efficient and high quality patient care in a 35+ bed Med/Surg Unit. Responsible for hiring, training and discipline of staff, as well as financial management within the Unit. Oversight of approximately 50 FTE's and reports to the CNO. Organization & Community: A hospital of approximately 150 beds in the Austin, TX area, located less than three hours from both Houston and Dallas. The area is wonderful for recreational activities such as boating, golfing and fishing. Qualifications: A BSN is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Eight years of experience as a Med/Surg RN is required, including at least 3 years in a management role. Experience in Ortho and Telemetry is a plus. Relocation assistance is provided. Description: A 200+ bed hospital near Carlsbad, NM and close to the TX Line seeks a Director of Med/Surg. This position is responsible for a 40 bed Unit and will oversee approximately 45 FTE's. The Director will be responsible for the day to day operations and strategic management of the Unit. He/She should embrace Shared Governance, be adept at departmental and interdisciplinary team building and be self directed individual, one who leads by example. An ADN is required and a BSN is preferred. Candidates should have at least five years of acute care experience along with two years of experience in a leadership role.
