We are excited to be performing a search for a private, nonprofit community health clinic client based in the Sacramento, CA region. They are a growth-oriented health system with a culture that empowers employees to become healthcare leaders of the future.

They are searching for a driven and creative leader to serve as the Chief Compliance Officer. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Compliance Officer ensures the organization functions within regulatory and legal parameters; identifies and mitigates risk exposure. Maintains an effective Compliance/Risk Management Program and annual Compliance/Risk Management Work Plan to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. Provides guidance to the leadership team and staff on matters relating to reporting, compliance and risk management.

Position Focus Chief Compliance Officer FQH

• Oversee, manage and monitor the day-to-day operation of the organization’s compliance staff and program, including compliance training.
• Develop and implement annual Compliance Work Plan.
• Institute and maintain an effective compliance communication program.
• Oversight of Privacy Officer functions.
• Oversee audit, maintenance, and revision of organizational policies, including Code of Conduct.
• Responsible for management of contracts, agreements and insurance policies.
• Receive and investigate privacy and compliance incidents.
• Risk Assessment – evaluates incidents for severity, frequency, and probability of financial loss and reports to appropriate administration, committees and personnel.

Requirements for Chief Compliance Officer FQHC

• Minimum of 5 years experience working in healthcare compliance, FQHC experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or Law strongly preferred.
• Eligibility for certification in Health Care Compliance required with current Health Care Compliance (CHC), Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Research Compliance (CHRC), or Auditing certification preferred.
