Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Procurement Administrator to join their team on an interim, project-based basis. In this role, reporting directly to the CEO of our client’s organization, you will play a pivotal role in managing their procurement activities. As a Procurement Administrator, you will identify new suppliers, ensure compliance with their standards for purchased goods and materials, and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms.

Your expertise as a master negotiator will be crucial in identifying areas where our client may be overspending or losing out due to poorly negotiated contracts or limited supplier choices. Your collaboration with organizational leaders will be essential in understanding and addressing their unique procurement needs, ensuring timely supply chain management, and supporting their mission to provide essential healthcare services to the community.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and submit proposals, solicit quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions

– Generate and dispatch purchase orders and contractual agreements

– Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any concerns or issues promptly

– Analyze market and demand trends, assisting senior management in devising and executing sourcing strategies

Requirements and Skills:

– Prior experience in a Procurement Specialist role or similar position

– Proficiency in procurement strategies and practices

– Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business-related software, including purchasing and resource planning systems

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
